Wang Wei is a photographer based in London. She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing.

Her interest in photography is wide and varied, and her current specialisations are in portraits, still life, interiors, city landscapes, and architecture. She likes to approach her work from an ordinary perspective, without exaggeration but with fine details.

Exhibitions:

2006, the city landscape work "Beijing" was part of the "Totalstadt. Beijing Case. High-Speed Urbanisation in China" exhibition at the ZKM Museum in Germany.

2009, the "Standard Room" portrait series was commended for the Taylor Wessing Prize and exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery.

2018, she was part of the "209 Women" project, which aimed to mark 100 years since some women achieved the right to vote by taking over parliament with 209 new photographic portraits of all female MPs, shot exclusively by female photographers and shown in the Palace of Westminster at Portcullis House.

2021, her work was featured in the INSIDE OUT: Dyslexia: Beautiful Minds project at the Design Museum.

2023, the city landscape series "One-belt-one-Road" will be part of the State-less 無國界 exhibition at Two Temple Place, curated by Kakilang Gallery.
